How do I delete a Moji?
Once you have submitted a Moji, we do not allow it to be removed from the site. This is because the Moji may already be involved in competitions and we may have created merchandise on the site tied to the Moji. If for any reason you would like to request an exception to this rule, please notify us using the feedback form. Please read our Terms of Service for more information regarding our display policy.
Is there a limit to how many Moji’s I can submit?
Standard registered users are limited to 10 Mojis per month. Subscribers can upload an unlimited number of Moji’s.

The standard free registration only allows 10 Moji submissions per month. If you have reached this limit, you need to either purchase the premium membership, or wait until the start of the next month to submit additional Moji’s.
Why can’t everyone see my Moji submission immediately?
All submitted Moji’s are reviewed by Mojizu site administrators prior to final upload to Mojizu.com. This process typically takes one business day. Once your Moji is approved, you will be notified via email. Until your Moji is approved, only you the contributor will be able to see it. It will be displayed in your profile page and you are able to see a full view by clicking on it. Other users will not be able to see it until it is approved.
I can't find a category or section that exactly fits the Moji I want to submit. Can new categories be added to Mojizu? How can I request a new category or gallery be added?
Yes, we can add new categories. If you have an idea for a new category or gallery, you should present your idea to Mojizu by using the Feedback Form. If it receives strong enough support and doesn't conflict with the categorization logic built into the structure, we may add your category to Mojizu’s category listings.
Copyright and Content Rules:
What intellectual property rights am I assigning when I upload my Moji?
When you accept our Terms of Service, and submit Moji art to the site, you are giving Mojizu.com a limited, non-exclusive worldwide right to display, merchandise and commercialize your Moji for a period of two years. The right is limited because Mojizu can only use your artwork in limited prescribed ways. It is non-exclusive, because you are able to assign or sell the same rights non-exclusively to others. Worldwide, because Mojizu will be used by people all over the world.
Mojizu may display your Moji on Mojizu.com in various display galleries and the Moji Viewer. You also give Mojizu the right to incorporate your art into digital and physical merchandise which will be sold on Mojizu.com. Lastly, your Moji may be used in free digital downloads which registered Mojizu users can download from the site directly or through the Mojicon Dispenser.
What do you consider mature material?
Mojizu is currently intended for a wide audience of people of all ages. However, we understand that sophisticated artistic expression sometimes includes representations of nudity or violent themes. In an effort to allow artists to share Moji art that falls into this category, we have created a mature area on the site and implemented steps that will help ensure that only adults, aged 18 and older, can see and enjoy these particular Mojis. We will not display adult themed material in our general areas. To see mature content, go to the Moji Gallery and click on mature button, then search, you must be a registered user, age 18 or older.
Please note that Mojizu maintains strict screening policies to ensure that no content that we consider to be pornographic, racist, or defamatory will be allowed in any section. Please see our etiquette policy for more information on this subject.
Can I submit a Moji which I created using character building software on certain other websites?
There are many websites which offer 'Doll' and 'Character' builders. These specially designed pages allow a user to assemble different pre-existing parts, templates and backgrounds into a small customizable 'doll' or other character.
Most of these websites prohibit a user from reposting the assembled 'dolls' on websites such as Mojizu.
Because most of these websites prohibit this activity, and because the resulting 'dolls' are not original works, Mojizu.com does not allow these pre-fabricated pieces of pixelart to be submitted to Mojizu.
Someone has submitted a Moji which looks just like mine, will you remove it?
Mojizu is a community which encourages the participation of artists of all ages and all levels of skill and talent from the young beginner to the experienced professional.
In many cases beginner or amateur artists will copy or recreate existing characters in order to develop their skills. This does not mean that we allow art theft – Mojizu does not allow an artist to simply add or remove details from a Moji created by another artist. They also cannot edit, recolor, crop or in any way modify the original work created by another artist.
We allow recreations only when a new version has been created entirely through the efforts of the new artist, does not contain any portions of the reference work, and has not been traced, re-colored, or 'painted-over'.
If you believe that a Moji is a "copy" of another work rather than a true recreation, or if you have evidence that it has been directly traced then you should report it to us. These reports will be judged on a case-by-case basis by the appropriate administrative staff.
If you feel that you have had one of your existing Mojis copied or recreated and you believe that the new work recreates your original work too closely then you should also report it as a potential violation. Please be certain to provide a link to your original work so that an administrator can perform a direct comparison.
Additionally, you may be entitled to take certain actions under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Please our Terms of Service for more information.
What does Mojizu consider to be Copyright Infringement?
Mojizu policy defines ' Copyright Infringement ' to be a case where a user takes the original art, of another person (a 'third party') and then either misrepresents the original, unaltered work as one of their own creations or includes the work (either altered or unaltered) in a new image.
Generally speaking any Moji which is directly built upon the existing work of another artist can be considered to be a case of copyright infringement. When discovered these Moji will be removed regardless of whether the original source has been credited or linked back to.
Can I use Mojis that I download from Mojizu on another website?
No. Mojizu artwork that you download from Mojizu may only be used within your own computer or within electronic communications that you send out. It may not be used on published web sites. Please read our Terms of Service for a full explanation of what can be done with art downloaded from Mojizu.
