ETIQUETTE POLICY
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING OR ACCESSING THIS SITE.
1. ABOUT MOJIZU.COM
Mojizu.com is a location where artists who create character art, clip art, or pictures can come to get exposure, feedback, and potentially generate earnings from their artistic creations, and where general visitors can come to view and rank the artistic creations.
The following is an outline of standard etiquette that we expect all users of our website to adhere to in their use of Mojizu.com. By continuing to use or access Mojizu.com, you agree with the terms of this Etiquette Policy, and you agree to be bound by the Etiquette Policy. The Etiquette Policy may be modified by Mojizu.com at any time and without prior notice. By using or accessing Mojizu.com, or any service offered or otherwise associated with this site, after any modification of the Etiquette Policy, you agree to the terms of the Etiquette Policy, as modified. Additionally, to the extent you upload any materials to Mojizu.com or become a registered user, you will also become subject to the Terms of Service.
2. UNLAWFUL USE AND CONDUCT:
Your use or access of Mojizu.com constitutes your acceptance to comply with all applicable U.S. laws. You further agree not to use Mojizu.com for illegal purposes.
3. USER COMMUNICATIONS
Mojizu.com encourages users of Mojizu.com to speak their minds freely. However, certain rules must be adhered to at our website. Free-speech does not grant you the right to post anything, and everything, that you would like to say but, rather, allows for a fair and interactive conversation to take place between users without fear of repercussion. To allow for this to happen, the following rules apply specifically to the use of any comment, forum, journal or message board services which we offer on our website, which are owned, in full, by us:
- All posts to a particular bulletin board or other area on our website where a user may post comments must stay on topic to the bulletin board that they are being posted to.
- The posting of both positive and negative comments is highly encouraged; however, these posts must remain constructive. Posting a response or starting a thread without the intention of creating a constructively critical dialogue is strictly forbidden.
- We do not tolerate remarks that promote or condone bigotry. These include but are not limited to;
- Racist or ethnic slurs
- Derogatory remarks about philosophies and religions
- Offensive remarks based on gender or sexual preference.
- We do not tolerate remarks that are harassing, tortuous, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful or otherwise offensive or objectionable.
- The use of emoticons for the sole intent of flaming, insulting, or harassing another user of our website is not tolerated.
- Personal, or private, issues between two or more users of our site are to remain private.
- Attempts to “sidestep” any of our policies are strictly forbidden.
It is important to remember to be clear when communicating on the Internet. Please keep in mind that it is often difficult to detect sarcasm in text communications, and a communication that you mean to be sarcastic may not be interpreted as being sarcastic by other users. Please use common sense when posting to avoid confusion.
The failure to follow any of the aforementioned rules will result in the bulletin board being closed and possible administrative actions concerning the user(s) involved, including potentially banning the use of our website by the offending user, in accordance with the rules described to and agreed to by all users. It is up to Mojizu to interpret the intent of each user communication on the Mojizu website.
4. PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIALS
Mojizu does not condone the uploading of pornographic materials to its website. However, we recognize that the human form can be a valid artistic expression, and that artistic expressions of animated characters may display what appears to be nude depictions of that character, and accordingly, allow nudity if it is central to the statement of the artist. The following guidelines may be used to determine whether a submission to Mojizu containing nudity will remain posted:
- Is the user who submits the piece the author of the work, or does the submitted piece contain copy written material for which the user has not received permission to post from the original author?
- Does the submission explicitly depict sexual acts?
- With respect to the display of humans or human characters or characters that resemble human characters, is the character depicted over the age of 18?
- Is the submitted piece done in good taste?
Should Mojizu deem the work to fail any of these rules, we reserve the right to remove the work without notifying the artist. Once a submitted piece of art is determined to violate our policy, it is immediately removed from our website. Submitting the same piece again or similar material will result in immediate removal of the piece, and the potential banishment of the user from the Mojizu website.
5. PLAGIARISM
Mojizu does not tolerate plagiarism which we define as taking another artists work and posting it as your own. Plagiarism is theft. Mojizu considers the following plagiarism:
1. Posting another artist's material found at our website or at the website of a third party with little or no modification and claiming it as your own.
2. Posting another artist's material found at our website or at the website of a third party, not claiming ownership, but failing to seek the written authorization of the original author for its use.
3. Use of non-stock photography, clipart, or a portion of another work without the original author’s written authorization.
6. SITE ABUSE
Mojizu will not tolerate attempts to exploit or disrupt the layout, navigability, or general use of the site. Artificial manipulation of the ranking system that we use to rank content submitted to our website will not be tolerated since such actions disrupt the ability of our users to access and review artwork. Mojizu will not issue warnings for violations of this nature. Violators may be banned immediately upon the discovery of disruption or abuse in the sole discretion of Mojizu.
Please report any violations of this Etiquette Policy to feedback@mojizu.com.
